I was *so* close to getting scammed…they nearly got me!! To save money while building, we often fill up a large diesel tank at a discount fuel station. Nativity #24 Wooden it be wonderful?

This simple nativity is made of wood, it really highlights the wonder of the worshippers around the King in the crib.  Two of the shepherds have mouths open – at least one gaping with awe and wonder. Why would this prophesied King be born here? And why were *we* invited? I can’t believe how excited I am to receive this Bible today!  We likely have 50+ Bibles in the house (and around a thousand to give to people).  But this one is for me. Budget for your marriage NOT your wedding!

Look what I found today! It is the actual budget tally for our wedding 20 years ago… We had 200-300 at the ceremony and around 150 at the reception. We cut corners everywhere we could:  Catering was a voucher and friends / family chipping in. For cars, we found an old Holden lover. For table decorations we did ourselves – bowls with pebbles and fish.Sharmini’s dress? Today, being the anniversary of my mother in laws death, we spent some time reflecting on her life.  This photo is one of my favourites of her.
