Jesus fed how many??

Jesus fed how many??

I remember telling someone about Jesus one time and his condescending reply was something like:

“Yer right as if someone could feed all those people – it was a trick or made up”

I remember being very direct with him, challenging him that if that was the only argument he had to face God with on Judgment Day, he should be very afraid. Imagine, facing God, stained with sin, having rejected the Son He sent to suffer & die to pay for those sins and *that* was your defence?!

But it goes much further than that. The more you look at the evidence, follow the actual science, it is overwhelming and uniform: these events actually happened. They were recorded by eye witnesses who were often threatened with death even for stating these events happened.

In a political climate where death could come from your own families religious zeal or from the occupying Romans for any reason, being present was dangerous enough, let alone proclaiming said events.

Yet, in this environment, hundreds of eye witnesses all reported the same thing. This ‘Jesus’ really did do all these miracles, to people the whole community knew. They knew the man that was lame from birth. They knew the man who could not see. They were family members of the man that died. And they witnessed the miracles first hand.

The blind could see, the lame could walk, the sick were healed and the dead? Raised back to life!

And then there was this miracle, mocked by this man. As if it could happen?! But really, using logic, this miracle may speak the loudest that these events actually happened.

Sure, Lazarus’ family knew he was dead and witnessed him coming back to life. His friends & family saw the miracle as did some others – the news of this event spread quickly. The same is true of hundreds of events recorded in the Gospels.

But what about the feeding of 5000 people? This would mean that everyone in that community would be able to easily debunk the claim if it had not been true. It is an absurd claim that would have been laughed off and never received traction had anyone been crazy enough to claim it.

Yet this community knew it had happened – they were there! They heard Jesus’ teaching, they saw that there was no food, they saw Jesus produce it, they ate until they were full and then saw the baskets of leftovers afterwards.

They were amazed: this God-man had the power to provide food and perform many miracles that proved He was who He said He was. But there was more: His teachings resonated within them – His teachings were not rules and regulations, but awakened people, challenged them and even transformed them.

Once you have tasted the food Jesus provides, been changed by His teachings and experienced His life, you *know* first hand the effect it has. For good.

And here we are thousands of years later, He is still doing the same – I encourage you to check out His claims. Examine the evidence – it overwhelmingly points to the fact that the Bible is reliable and Jesus is who He claimed to be.

Eyewitnesses do not lie and risk punishment for no benefit. And they don’t die for a lie. These eyewitnesses were as credible as you can get and there were many. And many were killed, just for refusing deny this Jesus who both the Jewish leaders and ruling Romans were determine to eradicate completely.

And, once you open your mind and heart to Jesus, He will reveal Himself in ways you will never be able to deny. He is your very Creator, He came to earth to pay the penalty for your sin and offers you life. Real life, not one that depends on you or your effort and not one that will end when your heart ceases to beat.

Eternal life, life to its fullest and one united with the Creator, forever. I could write volumes on the joy and experience of being forgiven and adopted into Gods’ actual family, but I would rather you experience it for yourself. If you want a Bible to check out Jesus’ claims for yourself – hit me up. Even if it is to try to prove Him or the Bible wrong…He can handle it! We

And if you have already experienced His life, be bold in sharing what He has done for you. There is a ‘hungry crowd’ around you, in your community, that need Jesus. Some will be there just for what you do for them (users), some will criticise and antagonise. But the people who He has called, people who are willing to follow the evidence, will be saved from this empty and fragile human life!

He is still at work and using people just like you!

Come to Me and I will give you rest Jesus

“After this, Jesus crossed over to the far side of the Sea of Galilee, also known as the Sea of Tiberias. A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick.

Then Jesus climbed a hill and sat down with his disciples around him. (It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration.) Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”
Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”

“Tell everyone to sit down,” Jesus said. So they all sat down on the grassy slopes. (The men alone numbered about 5,000.) Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish.

And they all ate as much as they wanted. After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.” So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves.

When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!” When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.”
