Does anyone else find all the ‘best mother in the world’ posts funny? They always make me laugh (same as ‘best wife / husband / dad’ posts)…
More than just funny, I think it points to the fact that there *has* to be a God:
Think about it – you’ve met some of these ‘best’ people haven’t you? If you’re honest, you don’t want to spend 20 minutes with them let alone 20 years!! 😝
But for that person, that marriage, that family, those kids, they *are* perfect. How could this be? With all the variety, intricacies and quirks that people have, how could *anyone* ever find a good match, let alone *that* person finding a match?! 🤔
[Don’t worry I look at myself too: I know that God having someone I am perfect for (and someone who could handle my crazy quirks) is quite possibly the most mind blowing of all. 😂]
God designed us & created us: He knows us intimately. And IF (that’s a serious if – one to take notice of!), He wants us with someone, He has the perfect someone for us. But be warned, we will often be attracted to the exact opposite of that, someone who caters to our carnal, fallen nature, who avoids our triggers and who seems & feels right at first. Don’t follow your feelings, follow Jesus!
