Godly Wife Pain

When struggling through the valleys of life, take time to smell the weeds.  So blessed: after a particularly difficult night and morning, my amazing wife gently hugged me and began to pray. As she did, she wept: pouring her heart out to the Creator, her concern, love and empathy were tangible.  There was no flash from Heaven, the pain or spasms didn’t subside. But a new feeling competed for my attention, new thoughts to help drown out the pain: maybe I can get through this day after all…    I simply can not overstate the importance of finding a GODLY …

A Lament – A to Z of chronic Pain…

A to Z of pain… All the time, incessant throbbing and stabbing, it never stopsBones that ache, joints that seize, bolts that burnConstant pain, constant tension, constant hindrance of movement Distraction the constant temptation, a supposed help turned curseEarth the prison for me and the painFinding new things everyday that I can’t do, Feeling sad, frustrating and helplessGod the only One who can help, sustaining yet not releasing. Hopelessness the only thing that rises without effortInside out, if only what is injured could be exposedJail for the emotions, prison for the mind, rehabilitation needed for the mind. Kneeling and pleading for intervention, but …

How GMO products highlight our need for God

Watching a movie on companies that sued and indebted farmers to further their profits. It brought me to tears – it’s horrific to think there are people, companies and even a culture that thinks it is ok to force people off their land, split up communities and allow people to literally die instead of help them.Buts it’s not isolated- this is more than Monsanto or James Hardie or any singular entity. It goes to core of our culture (and human nature) and accuses each one of us who refuses (at any level) to serve God.That is not my opinion, but …

Crushing News…do NOT do this!

I feel bad asking when so much is going on around the world, but I would really appreciate your prayers this coming week or two. I have been struggling with pain & have just received some pretty bleak news to do with my spine. Just when I thought things would be looking up too.   I won’t go into details here, but I need God’s strength just to get through each day, let alone face the long term. I have written more details on our blog that you may find encouraging / helpful – especially if you are a pain …

My back is killing me – Adam Keegan

I received some bad news this week… After being told that recovery from spinal surgery would take 3 – 6 months, I have now been informed that it will be 12 months to 5 years, and the level of pain I am in now, may never decrease.  That was hard to hear, especially when I have been struggling to cope wth the pain I am in the last few weeks. I also find it incredibly difficult not being able to do much physically. I am in a state worse than I would imagine I would be if I made it …

What will surprise you about 3 basic COVID responses…

Please folks, start to panic & worry even more as the sky is falling… again!  This new strain… ahh forget it. I’m not going to waste time re-hashing what the media will use to try to create panic in the next few weeks / months about. And I won’t predict the usefulness of any ‘vaccine’ or booster for this new strain. Nor will I go on about how many new strains there will be over the next few years & the accompanying new jabs that will become available and then mandated.  I want to take a different tack:  Well done …

Ever faced THIS at the hopsital?

Today we had another visit to the hospital…what would it be like THIS time? And what does that have to do with KFC? For those who don’t know our history with pregnancies & childbirth – let’s just say it has been a battle! The first few paragraphs give a quick overview if you want to skip to todays visit! As a husband over the years I have had to go to the hospital many, many times with my wife to literally shield and protect her from the negativity and pressure placed on her by doctors. The way she was treated …

The Slavery of Sugar

There is a lot of talk about sugar and it’s addictive qualities at the moment. While I agree that there are dangers of consuming too much refined sugar, the link between sugar and slavery has another, often overlooked, and possibly more powerful link… While many hold to a relative, social based (or humanistic) moral code, we don’t have to look far to see the results of this belief. When we base our morals on what we see around us, an ‘internal check’ or social norms, many terrible things can and do occur. Slavery is a obvious example. Only a couple …
