Happy Mothers Day to my amazing wife!

Happy Mothers Day to my amazing wife!

To my darling wife this Mothers Day:

Thank you for your continued commitment and effort for the benefit of our children. I am truly, truly blown away and blessed.

The emotional maturity and openness you have sown into (and drawn out of) them is incredible. They have a lot to be grateful for – as do their future spouses(!)…

I see your struggles and the way you have coped with and responded to so many hardships this last few years and again I am amazed.

I know how hard it is to not be able to talk to your own mum, and despite your best efforts, being so alone.

Despite being deliberately hurt by those you have sacrificed for, you have been open & honest with our children and shown them how to walk in love & forgiveness, modelling a life of prayer for those who really don’t deserve it.

Clinging on to God through thick and thin, and supporting me through all my crazy ideas and medical struggles.

God really knew what He was doing bringing us together, you are an amazing person that our children are so blessed to have.

Some of the things they (do and will) say about you:

1) Mum was selfless and sacrificed for us. Homeschool, activities, cooking amazing food, Bible Study, friendships, the list is endless!

2) Mum was honest, brutally honest. Never hiding from them what was really going on – no pretence, but real, honest sharing

3) Mum was quick to say sorry. It is humbling and has allowed them all to understand human weakness and humility – all the while helping them understand that they are not at fault.

4) Mum modelled God to us – she def loved Jesus! From your own daily routine, your dependence on God for your own well being, your service to God inside the family and to many others is inspiring.

5) Mum cared. You are always so super sensitive to how they are feeling, caring enough to ask them & take time listening to them, praying for them & encouraging them. And you have shown them how to be attentive to others who are struggling & being selfless / giving to them as well

6) Mum was fun. From your jokes to your acting at Jesus time – there’s never a dull moment!

7) Mum had wisdom. Your words have given them a foundation for life, no matter which direction they take.

8) Mum was quick to forgive. Boy you have been tested on this one!!! But repeatedly you extend grace upon grace to them (and occasionally to me 😅)

9) Mum was long suffering. She’s still with dad!! Enough said 😂

Thank you honey – I am deeply grateful and honoured to do life with you.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! 😘
