Transformation Prayer Ministry Perth (TPM)
(Previously known as Theophostic Prayer Ministry)
We offer Transformation Prayer Ministry for those who believe they can benefit. After being involved in and experiencing many different psychological, cognitive and ministry methods, we have experienced and seen a huge benefit from TPM, unlike anything else we had previously been involved in.
We had also experienced first hand that 'trying harder' didn't work and only led to a cycle of 'fail, repent, repeat'.
With TPM, we have witnessed continual and consistent transformation in ourselves and those who have gone through the process.
There are many safety protocols in place, the training is extensive (and ongoing!) and the results are lasting.
We believe that this ministry approach is Biblically based and operates in an often over-looked area.
We have run and plan to run training for this incredible ministry regularly to enable more people to benefit.
If you
think you might need / benefit from TPM read below.

know you need it but not sure what it is, read 'What it is'

HEREIf you struggle with negative emotions (fear, anxiety, sadness, depression, phobias etc), bad reactions (jealousy, anger, withdrawing, hostility, busyness etc) or habits (TV, movies, games, substances, sex etc) we can offer something that really can help...Long term!
While it is common to think of life as different compartments (i.e. spiritual, emotional, work, play etc), we think that the ancients had it correct when they viewed a person as a whole being - spiritual, emotional, mental, physical. This means that any problem in one area will also show up or even affect the others.
For instance, if your work life is unbalanced (i.e. too hectic), it can cause stress, which in turn can lead to sickness (or even heart disease etc). But it also works the other way around too.
For instance, if you have emotional pain (even if hidden), this can influence your relationships, recreation activities, physical habits and the outworking could be that you desire to spend too much time at work. You feel accomplished at work, maybe driven and even successful, but it is unhealthy.
Workaholism (as with all other 'isms') has a sliding scale and it may even seem normal (especially in our culture), but once you are aware there is an issue, there is a few common ways that people try to address it.
A lot of these seem valid and can even be effective in the short term. TPM however tries to deal wit the root cause.
We have found through vast experience (unfortunately!) that trying to deal with issues and problems on the surface level just does not work on it's own. We've been involved with counselling, psychology, cognitive therapy, self help, group programs (i.e. AA, NA, SA, OA) and many, many different teachings, programs and ideas on resolving life's issues. We are not saying all of these are useless or that you should avoid them - only that none of what we have seen in these areas deals with the root issue and causes.
First let's make it clear: abstinence - in whatever form you can manage it - is a good thing. If you can't not eat / drink without going to OA /AA and having people to phone and encourage / challenge you, then keep doing it! If you are in a rehab and that is helping you not steal / use then stay there! Keep doing what you are doing - but know that there is more - much more - available to you!
This is where we come in. Not with more programs - there is enough of those - but with a ministry method that can actually help you get to the bottom of the issues and have them dealt with. Dealt with so they are gone! Think it sounds too good to be true? We did too...
At the root of all problems is sin and death (spiritual), which leads to situations that give rise to false beliefs (lies), these then cause emotional problems, which in turn affects our decisions (mental) for physical interactions (like the way we speak, habits, what we eat and even health etc).
TPM centres in on the lies that we internally believe, normally take on when young. We interpret situations with us as the centre and the resulting self beliefs can have a huge impact.
These memories don't always have to be overtly traumatic (ie sexual abuse), even though a lot are. For instance, you may have regularly gone to talk to you dad and may have found him always too busy for you.
This doesn't look abusive and mentally you may have grown accustomed to it. However, if, internally you started to believe that you were worthless (a core lie that is common), this would make a huge difference. You might have initially felt bad, though likely would look for activities or substances to make you feel good. And you would likely look for approval somewhere else: friends, sexual partners, work, success, sport etc and addictions are often the result.
Many will say and know these things are wrong and the activities should be stopped. But it is easier to say than actually do. Is it a 'simple' decision? Is it a case of trying harder? Is 'white knuckling' the answer?
In TPM, we start with the issues that are surfacing and the sessions normally quickly end up in the key places where we started to believe specific lies about ourselves.
As God* starts to reveal the truth in these painful places, these lies loose their power. It is actually amazing as we are often not even aware they are there until they are gone and we experience the change!
There is often a radical internal transformation, and the result is lasting.
During a TPM session, you will not hear us give you any advice, answers or 'counselling' during a TPM session. We are only here to help you gain awareness of the blockages, ask questions so you decide to go where you need to be and facilitate your interaction with God*. We also make sure it really is God according to what the Bible says.
*No problem if you don't believe in God - we won't force you and He will still reveal what He wants you to know. The choice is always yours with no pressure from us, though we will highlight anything that is not in alignment with the Bible.
We do believe the Bible - every word of it. We truly believe that all people will be judged for their sin and condemned, unless they have put their trust in what Jesus did on the cross. Although we desire (and work for) people to be free from emotional bondage, we are even more concerned for their (your!) eternal welfare.
We recognise that we were very anti-God due to the actions of Christians and the roundedness that resulted. While part of that is sin, another aspect is something we believe that God addresses in TPM.
