My heart grieves, not only for the victims’ families, but also for the masses of precious young people being duped into a lie.
I know what it is like to live with self-hatred, depression, and addiction. I know what it is like to be ostracised and rejected and bullied. I know what it is like to have questions and confusion about who I am / was (identity).
But, speaking from experience, I can honestly say it was when my eyes were opened to who God made me to be, who I *actually* was, (not what other people thought, not what others said I was), that everything changed.
Hating ‘god’ and being fully convinced ‘he’ didn’t exist, didn’t change reality. In fact it didn’t change anything expect made my suffering last longer. Arguing against God never ends well.
True peace, acceptance, love, fulfilment and forgiveness only come when you line up with what God (the Creator) says.
No matter who you are, no matter what you have done, no matter what you believe, it is *only* the Truth that can set you free.
We were told by the *tolerant* that “love wins”…which is true.
It’s just they don’t have a clue what true Love actually is (as evidenced by their reaction to this tragedy). Love is patient. And kind. And not rude. And keeps no record of wrongs! It doesn’t seek revenge, or try to justify wrong actions, or play the victim…
And love certainly does *not* look like shooting children in cold blood. Quite the opposite in fact…
Jesus gave the clearest definition and example of love:
He willingly layed down His life for others. He bled for those who rejected Him, who scoff at His ways, who love themselves and trample on others…people like you and me.
And people like Audrey Hale.
No matter how confused, no matter how rude, no matter how demanding, no matter how violent, no matter how much they cry victim, no matter how much you disagree…Jesus is their *only* hope.
And they may only hear the Truth or experience His love, through *you*.
